We have a selection of accommodation from a traditional Swedish cabin in the forest with sauna, ski-in/ski-out apartments, to 4-star hotels with spa, and everything in between.
We are located only 15 minutes from the nearest ski resort. The Sälen area comprises a number of linked ski resorts.
The ski resort caters for skiing and snowboarding, and is focused on beginners and intermediates. There has been significant investment in new high-speed, high-capacity lifts, giving the resort a clean, efficient and modern feel. Some pistes are illuminated in the evening extending the day and allowing skiing into the night.
If you have never tried skiing or snowboarding before, Sälen is perfect. Our Polar Ski staff will guide you and help you with everything you need to get started, and get some tuition from English speaking instructors. Ski lessons are in the morning, giving you the afternoon to do some more practice, or take time out to relax with a traditional Swedish sauna.
For those who have skied before, Polar Ski staff will help guide you around the 4 resorts. Our staff, with local knowledge, can provide all the help you need to get the best from your mountain experience, whether this is with hire of equipment, professional instruction or the best routes around the resorts.
If you fly into Scandinavian Mountains Airport, it is possible to take a magical trip by dogsled to our local accommodation. After arriving at the airport, you and your baggage is transported by sled through the forest to your accommodation.

Explore the unspoilt wilderness of the Swedish forests and lakes. There are several available guided tours starting from 1.5 hours to a multi-day excursion.
The local resort of Lindvallen has Experium: excitement and relaxation for the whole family. With an adventure water park including indoor surfing to a relaxing spa with sauna.
There are a variety of dogsledding tours exploring the wild outdoors such as the Northern Transtrandsfjällen Nature Reserve. These are perfect tours for friends, couples and families.
Experience the awe-inspiring northern lights, where vibrant colours dance across the night sky. This natural phenomenon, known as the Aurora Borealis, creates a mesmerising display of green, pink, purple, and blue hues. Being so far north and away from the light pollution for cities, there is a good chance to glimpse this awesome spectacle.
